A father-to-be who took his full gaming system to the hospital as his girlfriend waited 21 hours for labour to begin after being induced has sparked debate.
Amber Scott, 28, of Las Vegas, became viral on TikTok after posting a video of her partner fascinated by the television after setting up a gaming station on the ward.
Her partner can be seen in the foreground of the video, which has since received 45,000 likes and 3,200 remarks, playing while she rests on the hospital bed behind her phone.
Some viewers were angered by the scenario, labelling him a ‘red flag,’ while others said they would do the same thing and that he couldn’t be expected to sit and watch his spouse for 21 hours.
Amber captioned the video that during her 21-hour induction, her boyfriend brought his full game system to the hospital. Some users were totally on her boyfriend’s side, saying there was nothing wrong with providing some entertainment.

One individual responded ‘I mean I see no issue. 21 hours is a long time, but don’t worry, you can set the controller down whenever you want. There is no problem as long as he offers her as much as she needs and supports her when she needs it.
‘Hospitals are BORING AS HELL,’ one user said, while another agreed, writing, ‘I would allow this so I could watch.’
A third said, ‘I would’ve done the same thing.’
Another supporter wondered whether he was supposed to sit there for 21 hours staring at her,’ and suggested that she could find it ‘entertaining’ to watch him.
Others, on the other hand, didn’t see the humour and believed Amber’s boyfriend was being rude.
‘It’s unfortunate how computer games are taking over people’s lives,’ one individual said.
‘That’s exciting,’ observed another cynically. What will he do when the baby is born? While you’re taking care of the baby’s requirements, you may play a game.’
‘You will be parenting this child on your own…’ wrote a third. ‘I’m too busy gaming!’
