Demi Moore has shown her continued support for ex-husband Bruce Willis following his aphasia diagnosis.
The Ghost actress, 59, tweeted a throwback selfie with Willis, 67, from the Cannes Film Festival premiere of his film The Fifth Element on Tuesday.
Moore captioned the photo, “From the Cannes archives, around 1997.”
Moore is wearing a tight black gown with a patterned black and red coat in the photo. She accessorized with a similar red purse, a big necklace, and chandelier earrings. Willis looked great in a traditional tux posing for pictures with his then-wife.
Emma Heming Willis, the Die Hard actor’s wife, commented in the comments section, saying all the emotions were lovely.
The current year’s Cannes Film Festival began on Tuesday and will end on May 28.
Willis and Moore have three daughters: Rumer, 33, Scout, 30, and Tallulah, 28. They married in 1987 and divorced in 2000. Willis and Heming Willis have two children, Evelyn, eight, and Mabel, ten.
The Willis family announced on social media in March that the Golden Globe winner will be “moving aside” from acting.
They wrote to Bruce’s incredible supporters, as a family, they wanted to convey that their darling Bruce has been facing some health concerns and has just been diagnosed with aphasia, which is hurting his cognitive ability.
They said as a result of this, and after careful contemplation Bruce is walking away from the profession that has meant so much to him.
Moore paid tribute to Willis on Instagram on his 67th birthday before going public with his health news.
“Bruce, happy birthday! We are grateful for our mixed family, “Moore captioned a shot of the couple laughing in the kitchen.
