On Sunday, Demi Moore turned to social media to wish her ex-husband, Bruce Willis, a happy 68th birthday.
The 60-year-old actress shared a video of their complete family singing happy birthday to the Die Hard actor before presenting him with a candlelit apple pie.
Rumer, 34, Scout, 31, and Tallulah, 29, are the former couple’s three kids, who participated in the celebration with their partners and offered heartfelt tributes on Instagram.
In the video, Bruce’s current wife, Emma Heming, 44, who posted a poignant birthday message earlier in the day, is seen giving him the cake and a loving kiss on the cheek.
Bruce and Emma’s two children, Mabel, 10, and Evelyn, 8, were also there to commemorate their father’s birthday.
‘BW, happy birthday! ‘So glad we could celebrate you today,’ Demi said in the caption of a photo of the complete family celebrating Bruce’s birthday.
‘I love you and our family,’ she said. ‘Thank you for your love and good wishes – we all feel them.’
Emma, who has been married to the Moonlighting star for around 13 years, later shared a close-up photo of the delectable-looking apple pie.
The model commented above the shot, ‘I tried to acquire a pumpkin pie,’ indicating that pumpkin is his favorite. ‘It was ruled out. His second favorite is apple pie.’
She said in the post, ‘He is pure love. He is so loved. And I’ll be loving him always. Happy Birthday my sweet.’
Emma also sent a heartfelt letter about her husband’s awful dementia diagnosis.
Emma mentioned feeling especially sad when producing a reel for Bruce in her video post, calling viewing his recordings a dagger in her heart.
In a second video, she fought back tears as she described the montage she had been working on for Bruce.
Emma then posted the aforementioned clip, which was accompanied with Stevie Wonder’s legendary song As.
‘My birthday wish for Bruce is that you continue to keep him in your prayers and highest vibrations because his sensitive Pisces soul will sense it,’ the mother-of-two said. Thank you for loving and caring for him as well.’
In the midst of their father’s heartbreaking dual diagnoses of aphasia and dementia, his adult children posted old images of him and wished him a happy birthday.
Scout reposted the fun video shared by her mom Demi and wrote in her caption: ‘Also though, today has been PROFOUNDLY JOYFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL !!!!!! HAPPY BW’S BIRTHDAY TO ALL WHO CELEBRATE !!!!’
The singer also shared a childhood snapshot of herself resting on Bruce’s shoulders, cuddling against his head.
She dedicated the photo to one of her greatest friends, the Pisces king, the master of duality, both action hero icon and gentle girl dad, in a poignant comment.
Despite the fact that it was a wonderful day, she said that the celebration was tough since Bruce was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) last month.
He withdrew from acting less than a year ago owing to the neurological condition aphasia, which affected his capacity to interpret words.
Tallulah also shared a photo of herself with her mother before posting her family members’ beautiful birthday messages on her Instagram story.
In the shot with Demi, the Whole Ten Yards actress wore a graphic T-shirt with her father’s face and name written over the body.
The General Hospital star donned a white puff-sleeved shirt and a black dog sling while holding her chihuahua Pilaf.
Demi wore a black baseball cap and big spectacles with black frames for the images, which Tallulah captioned simply, ‘Club Bruno!’
Tallulah posted her siblings’ postings as well as a couple nostalgic images of her father from previous years.
Tallulah was pictured in a blue button-up shirt that said ‘Willis’ as she grabbed a photo with a smiling Bruce in one of the carousel posts.
‘Happy birthday to my numero uno Bruno!!’ she said in the post.
She also posted a photo of her dad at home, holding a greyhound dog.
In another shot, Bruce was dressed more formally and raised his eyebrows in astonishment at the camera.
Rumer, who is expecting her first child with her partner, 28-year-old Derek Richard Thomas, shared a video of the family singing happy birthday.
She chose a thumbnail of herself as an infant being held by Bruce.
‘Happy Birthday Daddio,’ the actress and singer captioned the photo. ‘I love you to the moon. You are so cool’.
Emma’s poignant video, as well as a group shot of the complete family title- it was a lovely day, were also shared by the soon-to-be mom.
