Depp’s lawyer brings up prior arrest for sneaking James Franco into penthouse after changing locks & slapping girlfriend.

After two days of questioning, Johnny Depp’s legal team concluded its cross-examination of Amber Heard by probing her on her connection with James Franco and allegations that she assaulted her ex-girlfriend.

Camille Vasquez, Depp’s attorney, concluded her cross-examination by referring to accusations that Heard attacked her ex-girlfriend Tasya van Ree in 2009. Heard was detained after two police reportedly saw her slap van Ree in the arm and take her jewelry off, but the charges were swiftly dropped.

Vasquez claimed that Johnny Depp isn’t your only lover she has abused.Heard replied she has never attacked any of her colleagues. She has never abused Mr. Depp or anybody else she has ever been romantically involved with. Vasquez declared no further questions, capping up two days of cross-examination.Vasquez had previously asked Heard why James Franco paid her a visit at her Los Angeles penthouse in May 2016, the day after the violent altercation with Depp that ended their marriage.

The court previously heard that Depp was immensely jealous of Franco and suspected Heard of having an affair with him. The jury was given video of Franco and Heard in the apartment building elevator.

Vasquez inquired whether Heard  knew that Mr. Depp was away May 22, 2016, adding that the visit came the day after she changed the locks. Heard responded saying she wasn’t aware of Depp’s schedule.

‘He was her friend, and he really lived next door,’ Heard recalled of Franco. She had depleted  her support network and was eager to make as many new pals as she could.

Elaine Bredehoft, Heard’s lawyer, questioned her about CCTV video from the building that showed her in the elevator with Franco soon before 11 p.m. that night.

In the video, he is seen affectionately placing his head on Heard’s shoulder. Heard added that after seeing her expression, he rested his head on his shoulder. He also stroked the side of her face.According to Heard, Depp hurled a phone at her the night prior, causing a bruise on her face.

Franco touched the side of her face and reacted to what he saw, she testified in court.

For those who might be unaware of what’s happening between the couple- Depp, 58, is suing his ex-wife for $50 million after she alleged in a Washington Post op-ed in 2018 that she was a victim of domestic abuse. Although Depp’s name was not included in the story, he claimed the incident cost him $40 million in acting possibilities, including his well-known role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean film.

Meanwhile, Heard, 36, is counter suing for $100 million, claiming that Depp’s accusations have ruined her reputation and destroyed her career.
