Ellen Barkin will testify in the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial next week, since she dated the star in the 1990s after meeting him on the production of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
This is not the 68-year-first old’s time testifying against Depp; in 2020, when he sued The Sun for labeling him a “wife beater” because of Heard’s abuse accusations, Barkin claimed Depp flung a bottle across a hotel room during a dispute.
Depp, on the other hand, denied this ever happened, stating that Barkin made up the tale because he believed she was carrying a “grudge” against him for not wishing to be in a committed relationship with her.
Depp stated in court, a sexual element started with Ms. Barkin and lasted for months on and off, essentially as she was filming the picture he was doing at the time, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. She desired a proper connection with him, which he did not desire. He didn’t feel the same way about her as she felt about him, and he is sure she became quite furious after that, and he hasn’t spoken to Ms. Barkin since.
Former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani stated that Ellen’s testimony will be vital to Heard’s cause, adding that Heard requires independent witnesses to verify her claim.
Whitney Henriquez, Heard’s sister, will also testify in court, and her evidence will be crucial, as Heard asserted her sibling was there during one of their brawls. “Whitney put herself in harm’s way. She has her back to the staircase, and Johnny swings at her,” the mother of one recounted.
