Family adopts abused rescue dog, then one week later it saves their daughter’s life.

Khan, a Doberman Pinscher, was rescued from an animal shelter. Little did that adopting family know that Khan would become an incredible hero to them just four days later at their home in Atherton, Australia.

Charlotte Svillicic, at just 17 months, was playing outside in the family’s garden when Khan began nudging her to make her move. Khan then took Charlotte’s diaper in his mouth and flung her about a yard behind him.

Seconds later, Khan was bitten on a paw by a venomous snake that he had seen slithering up toward Charlotte. He was protecting Charlotte at all costs.

Khan was quickly taken to the vet for an anti-venom shot and came through it just fine.
