The dad of a two-week-old infant who died in a nursing home has been accused of homicide and will appear in court for the first time later today. Darin Harvey, 25, is charged with the murder of ‘beautiful’ Felicity-May Harvey, who died in a hospital on January 11, last year. On January 8, 2021, ambulances went to her home in Heywood, Greater Manchester, in response to worries about her well-being.
Despite her physicians’ best efforts, she died three days later. Her injuries and the reason for her death remain unknown. Harvey has been remanded in jail and will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court this afternoon, according to police.
A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police stated that the dad of a two-week-old newborn girl who died in Heywood last year has been charged with her murder. Darin Harvey, 25, of Birch Road, Wardle, has been detained in jail and will appear later today at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court (Thursday 21 April). He will be charged with the murder of his baby girl Felicity-May Harvey, who unfortunately died in hospital on Monday, January 11, 2021, after they were alerted to a complaint of concern for her wellbeing.
Following her passing, Felicity-May’s family paid homage to their ‘beautiful baby daughter,’ who they said ‘melted’ the hearts of everyone who met her. They expressed that their hearts are devastated after losing their lovely baby child, Felicity-May. She was a beautiful baby who was constantly attentive, looking around with her large blue eyes. She was wonderfully stunning and courageous, and she captivated the hearts of everyone who met her.
What made her so remarkable was that she had cleft lip and palate, and despite the difficulties, she was the most joyful and content young child. What made her additional extraordinary was her congenital fissure and sense of taste and, in spite of the difficulties of this, she was the most blissful and content young lady.
They continued to express that she was and always will be adored by her mother, sisters, and relatives, and her death has left a great vacuum in all of their hearts and lives. She was their particular star, and it’s somewhat ridiculous that she sparkled so brilliantly for such a little period of time. When they gaze up into the sky, they’ll see through the clouds that the brightest star blazing is their Felicity-May. Baby daughter, rest in peace. Rest well. Until they meet again, sweet darling.
