Quinton Simon, a 20-month-old newborn boy, has allegedly gone missing in Georgia. Cops have set up search groups around the clock in the hopes of finding the kid safe. Based on the investigation conducted thus far, investigators have concluded that there is no evidence of foul play in Quinton Simon’s abrupt vanishing.
The 20-month-old was reported missing from his Buckhalter Road residence about 9 a.m. on Wednesday. He was last spotted wearing a light blue Sesame Street shirt and black jeans. Quinton’s parents discovered his absence about 6 a.m. on Wednesday. During a news conference Thursday, Chatham County Police Chief Jeff Hadley remarked, he prays he’s still alive. They don’t have any reason to believe he isn’t.
Neighbors of the Simon family and several volunteers have joined the search team, which also includes K-9 units, surveillance drones, helicopters, and mounted cops, in an attempt to bring Quinton back safe and sound. The FBI has also agreed to help in the hunt for Quinton Simon. Georgia residents are asked to phone 911 immediately if they see the missing youngster, and they can also report his absence on the Chatham County Police Department’s website. According to the CCPD, search teams are working around the clock to assist in finding the youngster. Detectives are working 18-20 hour days, and some limited outside searches continue, along with a pond search today, the CCPD said in a statement released Friday afternoon. The officials have yet to divulge the pond’s exact location. They verified that officers scoured the area with waders and poles. Officials said there are now too many hazards to send in a diving team.
During a news conference, the baby’s grandpa became upset. She hasn’t always done the right thing,” Billie Jo admitted of her daughter, Quinton Simon’s mother. Sometimes she performs incredibly well, and other times she doesn’t. He is at a loss for words right now. and not sure what to believe since he doesn’t think anyone ever believes this will occur to them. He is not sure if he can trust her or not. He simply knows he is in pain and wants this baby back. They simply want to know something, whether it’s the answers they want to hear or the answers they don’t want to hear, Thomas Howell said.
Savannah-Chatham County Crime Stoppers has also launched a hotline number (912) 234-2020 where individuals may provide any type of pertinent information. A monetary reward will be offered to anyone who can provide information about the boy’s disappearance so that officials can secure Quinton’s safe return.
