Tupac Mosley, the valedictorian of his high school in Memphis, TN, had much more to celebrate than his recent graduation. The adolescent has received more than $3 million in college scholarships.
His top-of-the-class ranking and scholarships are all the more astounding given that his family has suffered financially since his father’s death in 2017, and he became homeless earlier this year.
Tupac remarked that sleeping on hotel room floors was the lowest point in his life, yet he persisted with his studies. He is grateful to his supporters for their contributions to his accomplishments.
During his graduation address, he acknowledged the school’s principal and gave respect to the director of the For the Kingdom campground and organization, which offered his family a place to stay. He claims that when the director learned of the family’s homelessness, he allowed them to remain so they could gather the funds required to find a new place to live.
Tupac now has his own apartment, but he intends to remain close to his family when he returns to school in the fall. He received an invitation to study electrical engineering at Tennessee State University.
