Fans of Johnny Depp are clamoring for the cancellation of Amber Heard: In the midst of the actor’s continuing defamation action, a petition demanding for her removal from “Aquaman 2” has surpassed 2.7 million signatures.
“Do the right thing. Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2,” writer Jeanne Larson pleaded in the summary of the 2020 Change.org petition. The fans hope this will prohibit Heard from resuming her role as Princess Mera in the James Wan-directed superhero sequel, which finished filming in January.
The Depp admirer stated that she started the campaign because she feels Heard, 36, has been “exposed as a domestic abuser” by the 58-year-old “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor. Larson stated that she does not want her alleged actions to be “glamorized” on tape.
She went on to list the claimed “many incidents of domestic abuse,” including one in which Heard reportedly punched her then-husband in the face. She also alluded to the purported event in which she severed Depp’s fingertip by tossing a vodka bottle at him.
Assuming Amber Heard Petition Crosses 3 Million It Will Be One Of The Most Signed Campaign Ever!!!
Depp, who has categorically rejected the charges, is demanding at least $50 million in damages. He is also seeking punitive damages of $350,000, as well as lawyers’ fees and court costs.
Likewise, Heard’s attorneys are suing Depp for $100 million in alleged abuse and other damages. They blame Depp of physically and sexually assaulting Heard while consuming drugs and alcohol, and they allege his legal team unjustly accused her of inventing abuse charges.
Do you wish the campaign reached 3 million signatures? Let’s wait and watch if Johnny Depp’s fans and well-wishers make this campaign a history to remember.
