On Saturday, David Campbell and Sylvia Jeffries, the hosts of Today Extra were shocked to learn that Jennifer Lopez altered her last name after marrying Ben Affleck.
When the disclosure was made, the hosts were talking with their guests, TV star Shelly Horton and radio host Ben Fordham.
Shelly criticized that this is her fourth wedding and she should learn not to altera her name. She continued saying that it’s silly that people alter their name. In Shelly’s opinion, females don’t need to give up their self merely since they get married.
Ben claimed that this is JLo’s choice and about regarding women and their individual choosing. Taking a ruthless jab at his co-star, Ben continued that he was glad for her being a woman making her own choices.
The hosts were also surprised to know that Jennifer’s mid name is Lynn. David said that she is Jennifer Lyn Affleck and Lynn is not what he anticipated in the mid name. His co-host was likewise amazed too.
Jennifer, 52, and Ben, 49, married in Las Vegas three months after becoming engaged once more. The actress confirmed that they are married on her newsletter, where she public particulars of their close nuptial held at the Little White Wedding Chapel.
The newsletter included candid selfies of the newlyweds and was signed – Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck. It has video of the pair making for their special occasion.
The pair together known as ‘Bennifer’ got a marriage certificate in Clark County, Nevada on Saturday and exchanged vows in a wonderful small ritual.
The Clark County Recorder’s Office confirms that the pop star will be altering her name to Jennifer Affleck.
It is however, reported that the certificate was taken out on Saturday and is in their lawful names – Benjamin Geza Affleck and Jennifer Lynn Lopez.
This is Ben’s second marriage and he has three children from his first marriage to Jennifer Garner, which was over in 2018.
Jennifer has 14-year-old twins from her third wedding to Marc Anthony, which was over in 2011.
