Man Charged with Child Sexual Assault Targeted Single Moms on Dating Apps to Get Close to Their Kids: Police

A Texas man has been charged with child sexual abuse, and investigators say he used dating apps to find single mothers and then asked to spend time with their kids.

According to a press statement from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Epifanio Adolfo Jimenez, 42, went online as “Harley” and especially sought for women with children. The news statement does not say which dating sites Jimenez is accused of using.

According to criminal documents, authorities first became aware of Jimenez after a 17-year-old girl came forward and alleged he sexually abused her when she was 13 years old.

The child, Jimenez’s ex-daughter, girlfriend’s told school counselors and eventually police that Jimenez pushed her to a bed and raped her four years ago while intoxicated. Jimenez, according to police, supported most of the girl’s statement yet refused the sexual assault.

Police questioned Jimenez as part of their examination into the alleged sexual assault. He reportedly acknowledged utilizing dating apps to seek single parents during their interview.

Jimenez is already on probation in Galveston County for soliciting minors online. He has a wife.

Jimenez has not yet filed a plea, and there is no counsel allowed to speak on his behalf listed in online arrest records. The bond has yet to be determined.

Investigators think Jimenez has multiple victims. Anybody who has met with him or enabled him to contact their kids is asked to contact the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 936-760-5800 and mention case number 22A067965.
