Keeping with her yearly Nov. 1 custom, the singer, 54, proclaimed, “It’s…… TIME!!!” as she released a video of herself getting defrosted for the holiday season.
The date and time change from ‘October 31 11:59’ to ‘November 1 12:00’ in the video as a vault door swings open to show Carey trapped in a block of ice wearing a Mrs. Claus-style outfit.
Four individuals dressed in Halloween costumes, featuring a pumpkin head and a mask from the film Scream, begin melting the ice with hairdryers before Carey exclaims in a high-pitched voice, “It’s time!”
As she has fun in the falling snow, her holiday favorite “All I Want for Christmas Is You” begins to play, and she is joined by her 12-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe. The pair was also decked out for the holidays, with Christmas lights around their necks.
“It’s…… TIME!!! #MariahSZN,” Carey, dubbed the “Queen of Christmas,” captioned the Instagram video.
Last year, Mariah debuted “MariahSZN” by releasing a video of herself transforming from a cackling witch riding an exercise bike to a merry Mariah dressed in a one-piece Santa costume on a reindeer.
“IT’S TIME!!! #MariahSZN,” she captioned the video on X (previously known as Twitter).
Kris Jenner revealed only days before her Wednesday post that she was trying to “convince” her buddy Carey that it was “time” for her annual Christmas comeback as they caught up over dinner.
“Dinner with my girl @mariahcarey,” The Kardashians star captioned an Instagram photo of the couple. “Catching up and trying to convince her “it’s time”!!!!!.”
The Saturday post also included Carey’s popular video from November 1 of last year.
Carey’s festive smash is the all-time best-selling Christmas tune. “All I Want for Christmas Is You” achieved No. 1 during its 25th anniversary year in 2019, while the song also topped Billboard’s Greatest of All Time Holiday 100 Songs list last year.
