James Eik shared this story about his friend from a Spokane Valley neighborhood.
“This is Jim. Every Friday, you’ll find Jim taking in trash cans at each house along our street, keeping the neighborhood clean and tidy. It’s an act of service that he unselfishly gives to others. He knows every homeowner by name, checks in on one of the disabled neighbors daily, cares deeply for his wife and takes walks around the block every morning to stay active.
We didn’t know Jim when we moved here. But, he’s influenced our lives in so many ways. Now, he’s an irreplaceable part of our lives, encouraging us to have compassion and see the bigger picture.
