Michael Oher, a former NFL player, and his longtime girlfriend, Tiffany Roy, deserve congratulations.
Oher, whose experience inspired the Academy Award-nominated film “The Blind Side,” confirmed his marriage to Roy on Tuesday, Nov. 8, on Instagram.
“Filled with joy, can’t believe people took their time and came to celebrate! My beautiful wife, I love you so much, thank you for blessing me with our family! Easily the best single weekend I’ve ever been a part of. Not being from the area everyone came to was even more special. I won’t be able to tell everyone thank you, if I saw you this weekend, thank you! I’m complete, let’s keep trending upward! “Along with a snapshot of the two standing at the altar, the 37-year-old former athlete wrote.
The comments area was flooded with expressions of congratulations from friends, fans, and athletes.
The newlyweds had been together for 17 years and met at the University of Mississippi’s administrative building. They were engaged on July 12, 2021, and married on November 5, at the JW Marriott in Nashville, Tennessee.
The couple has two boys, Kobi and MJ, and two daughters, Kierstin and Naivi. Kobi accompanied Roy down the aisle to Beyoncé’s “Halo.”
