According to the police, a California lady is accused of assaulting, choking, and biting her 11-year-old daughter during an exorcism attempt. Kimberly Felder, 45, allegedly stripped her 11-year-old daughter naked and poured sand into her eyes and mouth on a beach in Ferndale, California, until a good Samaritan intervened to stop her, sparing the 11-year-old’s life.
Witness Felder informed John Marciel that she was attempting to exorcise demons from her daughter. She then tried to control her daughter by hitting her on the head with a piece of driftwood. Marciel called 911 and stayed on the phone with the operators while she tried to get Felder to the ground so she wouldn’t hurt her daughter any more.
A gathering of 10 to 12 people on the beach watched the occurrence. Marciel was the first to intervene and try to halt the assault. As soon as the cops arrived, a sheriff’s deputy pulled the mother away from her daughter and handcuffed her.
Kimberly Felder was arrested and charged with aggravated mayhem, attempted murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, child abuse, and child abuse. Meanwhile, her 11-year-old daughter was rushed to the hospital with many injuries, and Sheriff’s Sgt. Greg Allen said that she will be put in protective custody in the aftermath of such a heinous crime.
According to investigators, if John Marciel had not interfered during the event, the girl would have been murdered by her clearly insane mother. The modest hero, on the other hand, claims that he was merely at the right place at the right time. He was on the beach with other out-of-town tourists when they saw the mom assaulting her daughter.
The saddest part was that after they put the kid in the sheriff’s vehicle, she stated that people drove by and nobody stopped, Marciel said. When one witnesses something like this, it challenges one’s foundation and trust in others.
The sheriff’s office has properly recommended that John Marciel be awarded the Red Cross Life Saving Award for interfering in the assault and eventually placing himself at risk to rescue this little girl from her evil mother, who appears to be the sole one who requires an exorcism in this instance.
It’s tough to conceive seeing such awful violence and then doing nothing to aid the hapless victim. Yet it is precisely what others have done. But it only takes one courageous person to act on behalf of a kid who is being hurt to make a world of difference. In this instance, that person was John Marciel, and the 11-year-old girl credits him with saving her life.
