Paris Hilton Opens Up About Her Emotional Distress Following Hurtful Comments Regarding Her Son’s Head

Paris Hilton has expressed her sadness regarding the response to a recent photograph of her 8-month-old son, Phoenix Barron. The television personality used her Instagram Story to emphasize how it is “unacceptable” for her followers to “target” her child in response to hurtful comments.

On October 19, Hilton, aged 42, shared a series of pictures of her son, born from her marriage to Carter Reum, on Instagram to commemorate his first visit to New York City. After a TikTok user pointed out the negative reactions to the post, Hilton responded by stating that her “angel is perfectly healthy” and just has “a large brain.”

Hilton went further in addressing comments about Phoenix’s appearance in a subsequent Instagram Story post on Monday. She began by saying, “Living life in the public eye, comments are inevitable, but targeting my child, or anyone else’s for that matter, is unacceptable.”

The public’s response, Hilton explained, has deeply wounded her. She expressed, “This hurts my heart more deeply than words can describe. I’ve worked hard to foster an environment that is all about love, respect, and acceptance, and I expect the same in return.”

As a social media personality and new mom, Hilton shared that she faces scrutiny while navigating motherhood. She explained, “If I don’t post my baby, people assume I’m not a great mother, and if I do post him, there are some people who are cruel and hateful. I’m a proud working mom, and my baby is perfectly healthy, adorable, and angelic.”

Hilton also emphasized that her son is the “biggest blessing” in her life and that she has dreamed of being a mom for as long as she can remember. Every day with him reminds her of what truly matters.

She concluded her message by expressing disbelief that some people would target such innocence and expressed hope that people could treat one another with more kindness and empathy.

Paris Hilton and Carter Reum welcomed their first child via surrogate on January 16, 2023, quietly sharing the news eight days after his birth. Hilton also mentioned that they receive support in raising their child from her parents, Kathy Hilton and Rick Hilton, who are extremely fond of him and offer guidance and advice. Hilton’s close relationship with her family provides her with a substantial support system.
