Last week, expecting mom Liese Dodd’s family was putting the last touches on her upcoming baby shower. They are already organising the 22-year-old woman’s funeral.
Deundrea Holloway, her ex-boyfriend, has been accused of killing in association with Dodd’s death on June 9.
Alton Police Chief Marcos Pulido labelled Holloway, 22, a “beast” who “brutally slaughtered” the pregnant lady with whom he’d had an on-again, off-again romance for two years in an emotional Facebook video.
Dodd’s murder, according to Pulido, was “extremely heinous.” He remarked, it’s abhorrent. What happened to her is just horrific.
Dodd was expecting to give birth to her first child in July, according to Alito, and her baby shower was slated for the end of this month.
Dodd’s mom was the one who discovered her corpse, according to Alito.
Dodd was beheaded, as per officials, and her head was subsequently thrown away.
Holloway faces two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of deliberate killing of an unborn child, one count of dismembering a human body, concealment of homicidal death, and various motor vehicle crimes in addition to the two counts of first-degree murder.
No plea have been submitted by Holloway or on his behalf. On Wednesday, it remained unknown who his counsel was.
Dodd’s mother Heidi Noel expressed that her daughter was like a brilliant light who cared about everybody. Her heart was enormous. She’d go to any length for anyone. She’d go out of her way to assist others.
Dodd was raised in Illinois.
Noel explained, she had gone to college and was intending on getting into medicine. She was thinking about going that way because she herself is a nurse.
The bereaved mother added: she only wished her daughter had realised how much she was adored. That she would never have been alone, and that she might have left this situation and had a fulfilling life.
