Richard Gere celebrated his 73rd birthday today. Nowadays, his life is totally dedicated to his family. But then his journey to become a family man with an affectionate companion was extensive and exciting.
Gere met Carey Lowell after his break up from fashion model Cindy Crawford in 1995. Gere and Lowell dated for seven years before getting married. Both have been married previously, so they understand the determination it took to have a lifetime promise.
They tied the knot in a low-profile wedding with their broods as witnesses and was kept undisclosed for a while.
The couple decided to terminate their association after 11 years of marriage. The cause behind the parting was apparently due to their dissimilar lives. Gere was a Buddhist and sought to live a low life of seclusion, whereas Lowell desired to meet people and be in the fame.
Their split-up concluded as a lengthy and chaotic fight. The separation involved a guardianship clash and they could not settle on the split of Gere’s wealth. Lowell sought a 100million of his 250 million wealth since she felt she gave up her profession for him and maintained their son Homer and she also thought that she merited half of the whole thing.
Lastly, after four years of difficult discussions in court, their separation was settled.
After going through a lengthy tireless break up, Gere found love once more.
Gere his Spanish lady Alejandra Silva in Italy while she was handling a hotel in Positano. Silva is the daughter of Ignacio Silva, an entrepreneur and the ex-Vice President of the Real Madrid football club.
Gere was a close friend of the Silva family and they began dating in 2014. The pair tied the knot in 2018 in a lovely Indian-inspired nuptial.
When questioned about the 20-year age difference, Silva acknowledged that they just love each other and further said that Gere assured her 20 virtuous years of nuptial.
As soon as the pair made things official, Silva changed to being Buddist. The couple settled in New York and turn out to be stepparents to their broods.
The pair shocked followers in February 2019 when they declared they had greeted their first child together. Later, in April 2020, the duo greeted another baby boy. Gere turn out to be a dad of two kids at 70 and now the family lives on the New York state farm.
The recently lengthened family is keeping their life secluded but they confirmed the kids were hale and hearty and their family was at their gladdest.
