Robbie Coltrane’s daughter shares heartfelt images of her father.

Robbie Coltrane’s son demonstrated that he inherited his father’s sense of humour with a witty tribute that read: ‘Just woke up, what did I miss?’, while the actor’s daughter sent a touching photo.

Robbie, who played Rubeus Hagrid in the Harry Potter series, died Friday at the age of 72 after a protracted health struggle.

His kids have reacted to their dad’s death with two quite different postings on social media.

Spencer, an urban artist, has been working in New York recently and has been offline for a few days after sharing an image of a man in bed saying goodnight.

He reappeared in the early hours of this morning, though, to write: ‘Just woke up. ‘What did I miss?’

He followed his query with a photograph of the three Kennedy brothers.

He seems to have the same dry sense of humour as his dad.

However, his actress sister Alice McMillan shared an emotional photo of herself kissing her father’s forehead from behind while he sat at home wearing his spectacles and she was dressed in a checkered blouse.

Alice is Robbie’s youngest kid with his ex-wife Rhona Gemmell. Her most notable performances were The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard (2021), Roadkill (2020), and The Souvenir (2019).

Spencer, her older brother, was born in 1992 and has typically kept his life quiet.

Robbie Coltrane, actual name Anthony Robert McMillan, is best known for his roles as Hogwarts gamekeeper Hagrid and as criminal psychologist Dr Eddie ‘Fitz’ Fitzgerald in the 1990s ITV serial Cracker.

Throughout his profession, he has appeared with comic and acting icons such as Julie Walters, Ben Elton, Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry, Emma Thompson, and Siobhan Redmond.

Belinda Wright, Coltrane’s agent, confirmed the artist died on Friday and praised him as a “special genius.” Please respect Robbie’s family’s privacy at this difficult time, she said.

The 72-year-old was said to be suffering from major health problems earlier this year after being compelled to withdraw from London’s Comic Con in June owing to medical concerns.
