Sharon Stone sadly shares that she has ‘lost nine children’ through miscarriages

Sharon Stone has disclosed that she has had 9 miscarriages.

Earlier this week, the 64-year-old actress remarked on an exclusive PEOPLE Instagram post starring Peta Murgatroyd, who lately spoke up about losing a pregnancy while her hubby, Maks Chmerkovskiy, was in Ukraine.

Stone, who has three adopted sons, Quinn Kelly, Laird Vonne, and Roan Joseph, stated that as women, they lack a place to express the gravity of this loss. She miscarried nine times.

It is no minor thing, neither physically nor emotionally, yet women are led to believe it is something to suffer alone and privately with a sense of failure.

She went on that instead of getting the desperately needed empathy, understanding, and recovery. Female health and wellbeing have become lackadaisical at best, uninformed at worst, and fiercely repressive in endeavour when entrusted to the care of masculine philosophy.

Murgatroyd, 35, opened out about her recent pregnancy loss in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE. She remembered laying in a hospital bed for several hours after her 5-year-old son Shai saw her being loaded into an ambulance. She dialled 911 after discovering herself on her son’s bedroom floor, unable to move after testing positive for coronavirus days before.

The professional dancer explained that she was so weary. She couldn’t get the dishwasher to open. She couldn’t open the fridge to give Shai some toast. Her breath began to suffer as a result of the situation. It was rather dramatic.

Murgatroyd contacted her spouse in Ukraine, who was hundreds of miles away, and put him on speaker phone when the doctor approached her room.

She was expecting him to bring some devastating news. ‘What’s wrong?’ she wondered. That night in October 2021, his expression fell, she recounted. “‘Did you know you were pregnant?'”

Chmerkovskiy, 42, started to rejoice on the other end of the phone. He overheard the doctor saying, ‘You’re pregnant,’ she recalled. However, his joy caused him to misinterpret the news: Murgatroyd had already lost the baby.

Murgatroyd stated she “inevitably had no idea” she was pregnant, which assisted her through her recovery process.

She didn’t have that incredibly joyful moment of, ‘I’m pregnant again!’ she explained, noting that she had begun to bleed two days previously but had ascribed it to her menstruation. She “I simply got that sensation ‘You lost it.’

Murgatroyd has been vocal about attempting to have a second baby via in vitro fertilisation after talking with People about the loss, releasing an Instagram video of her first round of injections on Wednesday.

Murgatroyd captioned the photo, ‘my first night of IVF therapy. Taking you on this journey with me for baby number two is very unique and fantastic. I enjoy sharing things with you guys, and well….this is me being as open as possible.’

The New Zealander added: “Let us mainstream the talks about miscarriages and IVF and provides a comfortable space for all women. Thank you for making this possible for my family, @drmarksurrey @scrcivf XO.”
