Starbucks Forces Police Officers To Leave After Customer’s Safety Complaint

At a Starbucks in Tempe, Arizona, sentiments take precedence over facts and logic. Surprisingly, the staff of this coffee business believe that being outraged at the time justifies depriving others of their rights. Worryingly, they are unaware of how hazardous this notion is.

A bunch of police officers came to the Starbucks coffee store before their duty began. They were collecting the brew when they were abruptly approached by a barista who looked to be worried about them. They recognised they were no longer welcome at that point.

A group of five police officers, including many veterans, were barred from entering a Starbucks after a customer claimed that they “did not feel comfortable” with cops there. Surprisingly, the barista gave the authorities two options: move out of the way of the unhappy customer or leave.

Tempe Police officers claim they were asked to leave Starbucks

“Unfortunately this appears to be the new reality for law enforcement these days,” said Robert Ferraro, President of the Tempe Officers Association.

Despite having just bought their beverages and stood towards the front of the establishment, the police elected to walk out, feeling unwanted and maligned. Worryingly, the episode demonstrates once again that ostracising and discriminating against police personnel has grown socially acceptable in recent years.

Sgt. Robert Ferraro, president of the police union, stated that such occurrences are becoming more common as anti-police propaganda permeates the mainstream media. Sadly, many feel they should be free to exclude police officers from society while yet expecting them to risk their lives and rush to their rescue at the drop of a hat.

Naturally, when the public learnt about the cops’ treatment, there was a massive outcry. Starbucks chose to address the issue only after widespread public anger.

Borges added that Starbucks wants all, including law enforcement officials, to feel at ease in their locations. He did not, however, specify if the person in issue would face disciplinary action or re-education. After two black customers claimed a manager of racism, Starbucks shuttered almost 8,000 shops in 2018 to perform “racial bias training.”

Starbucks said that Rossann Williams, Executive Vice President and President of US Retail, will meet with Tempe Chief of Police Sylvia Moir to address the incident. Williams acknowledged that the employee was improper to request that the cops move or leave and apologised for how the issue was handled.

Tempe Police are presently working with Starbucks to resolve the matter. However, it appears that the coffee firm did not answer until they saw the significant response that ensued, causing some to believe that they were merely attempting to perform damage control.

Police personnel are continually berated and shunned despite risking their lives to serve their communities. Unfortunately, the erroneous and unreasonable sentiments of a select minority are being permitted to become mob rule, casting the individuals behind the uniforms as the enemy.
