Golf legend Tiger Woods couldn’t help but cry as he was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame on Wednesday night, as his 14-year-old daughter Sam presented him.
Woods becomes sentimental when discussing his parents. When Woods entered the stage, he did not discuss his legendary career, which included 82 PGA Tour victories and 15 majors. Instead, he spoke about how his parents went above and above for him. They even took out a second mortgage on their home to pay for him to play on the California junior circuit. Woods became emotional as he talked about how his late father told him that he had to work for all he wanted in life.

From his marriage to Swedish model Elin Nordegren, Woods has a daughter, Sam, and a son, Charlie. In 2010, the couple divorced.
She said from the stage to Woods that her father is a fighter. He conquered the odds every time — being the first black and Asian golfer to win a major, winning his fifth Masters following back operations, and walking just a few months after his accident. This was an allusion to Woods’ horrific vehicle accident last year, which may have taken his life.

Woods’ speech also included a tale about not being permitted into a country club due to his skin tone when he was a junior player there. Rather than breaking him, this only added gasoline to his fire. He put on my shoes in the parking lot.
In 2004, Charlie Sifford became the first African-American to be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Woods was involved in an automobile accident in February 2021 that resulted in several right leg fractures, ankle bone injuries, and soft tissue trauma. This necessitated arduous surgery and physical treatment. Since then, he hasn’t been able to play much golf.
Woods declared in November that he will not return to the PGA Tour full-time, putting an end to a legendary career that will never be matched. Tiger Woods is the only person who deserves to be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
