Tim McGraw is celebrating his girls!
Despite the fact that National Daughters Day was on Monday, the “My Little Girl” singer, 56, found time to thank three not-so-little women in his life, whom he shares with wife Faith Hill.
“National Daughters Day was yesterday, so I want to share these pics,” McGraw began in an Instagram post. “Babies to young women…. It happens so, so quickly.”
“Faith and I wake up every morning so grateful and proud that we have these remarkable young ladies in our lives!!!” wrote the Country Music Association award-winner.
His Instagram carousel included a picture of his daughters Gracie, 26, Maggie Elizabeth, 25, and Audrey Caroline, 21, bathing together when they were youngsters.
Following the gorgeous black-and-white group photograph, each girl had their own solo shot.
“No one knows how to grin and bear it through 3 hours of Hamilton karaoke quite like you….love you, dad,” added Maggie.
“I love you,” Audrey said. Gracie also added love emojis to her comments on the post.
“It’s inspiring to me to watch them go out on their own and do the things they do,” McGraw said of his daughters in 2021. “We’ve raised three strong, independent, strong-minded young women. And what I’m most grateful for is just how normal our kids are and how grounded they are and how much they respect themselves and other people. It makes me feel like we’ve done a pretty decent job, especially Mom.”
Two of his daughters have followed in their father’s footsteps, working in the entertainment business.
In August, the “Standing Room Only” hitmaker told Entertainment Tonight that he and Hill, 56, are still hoping to record a song with all five family members one day.
They’re the life of the party every time they come around, he stated of his children. They just encourage them in so many different ways. At some point, he’d like to do a song with all five of them.
Unfortunately, such plans do not seem to be in the works for his daughters just yet.
He talks about it all the time, and they’re like, ‘I ain’t singing with you, dad,’ McGraw went on to say.
Later in the interview, the “Meanwhile Back At Mama’s” singer joked that his children would “sing with mom.” But I doubt I’m on pace with the rest of them. “I’m the family’s worst singer.”
Gracie is a New York University graduate who played Tanya in Tyler Perry’s television series If Loving You Is Wrong.
“Gracie, our oldest daughter, is an actress in L.A., and she makes me proud every day because she’s such a strong, independent young lady who speaks her mind,” he said. “And she makes me proud every day of the way she lives her life,” McGraw said in 2020.
Maggie, on the other hand, has a Master’s degree from Stanford University.
Audrey, Hill and Tim’s youngest child, will graduate from high school in June 2020.
Audrey has since appeared in a Tory Burch commercial, and in August 2021, she made her acting debut in her father’s music video for “7500 OBO.”
