Tina Hines was looking forward to an average day with her husband, Brian Hines, on that particular day. And the Phoenix pair had intended to go trekking in the morning.
Tina was normally active and had a balanced diet and exercise program. However, her heart quit beating that day, and Brian fought to resuscitate her.
Her eyes were rolled back in her head and didn’t close. She was purple and not moving or breathing, according to Brian.
Using CPR, he was able to restart her heart, but only for a short time before it halted again.
When the paramedics came, they also attempted to bring her back, however her heart kept stopping.
They ended up shocking her three times on scene and two on the way, one of the firemen who assisted in Tina’s rescue stated. He has never shocked somebody five times in his life.

The mother-of-four had to be resuscitated five times before she became cognizant and awoke in a hospital room.
Tina had been out for 27 minutes when she regained consciousness and motioned for a pen and paper.
Unable to communicate, she motioned for a pen and paper and penned a surprising note for her family.
She was placed on a defibrillator and after magically waking up, the first thing she did, unable to talk since she was intubated, was request for a pen and in her cousin’s diary wrote ‘it’s real,'” Tina’s niece, Madie Johnson, posted on Instagram.
When others in Tina’s hospital room inquired what was real, she answered by gesturing up to heaven with tears in her eyes, Madie wrote.
Tina Day! #itsreal #heaven #miracles #blessed. If you dont know the story behind this picture you need to ask…

Tina subsequently described what she saw as “very genuine, the colors were so vibrant.” Tina also stated to have seen Jesus standing in front of a black gate, with a bright golden radiance surrounding him.
Madie was moved by the incident, and she even got a tattoo of her aunt’s message on her hand. Her story is too genuine not to tell, and it has strengthened Madie’s trust in a faith that so frequently goes unnoticed, Madie wrote. It has given her a solid connection to an everlasting hope that isn’t all that far away.
Tina is thankful to everyone who assisted in saving her life after the event in February 2018. When she was released from the hospital, she took the time to appreciate everyone, including the 911 operator, firemen, and paramedics.

It was an experience that the folks who helped revive her that day would not soon forget.
‘It’s one of those calls that none of them will ever forget, one rescuer added. I consider myself to have been a witness to a miracle.’

Tina expressed her gratitude to her rescuers on Facebook, writing, after spending much needed time with the paramedics today to appreciate them, they sobbed along with them, due to the rare scenario of coding 5 times and living to see them and thank them in person.
She was discharged from the hospital with a defibrillator and a pacemaker to avoid future heart attacks. She also departed with a new outlook, feeling that this was her second opportunity. It is a scary thing to consider, being awake and off the ventilator within less than 24 hours, and going into a new life.
