A concerned mother named Claire Taplin has shared a disturbing video of her daughter appearing “frozen” after her drink was allegedly spiked at a nightclub, hoping it will be a warning to others. The video tells the story how her daughter’s first night out clubbing turned into a frightening ordeal.
Millie Taplin, 18 years old from Southend-on-Sea became stationary and looked obsessed for almost four hours after a man supposedly offered her a drink at the bar. Millie was on her first night out clubbing as an 18-year-old when she had to be rushed to a hospital after consuming drugs. The video of the young woman shows her appearing to move her head and jaw around uncontrollably and her hands clenched into claws.
Millie’s mother said that when she tried to make contact with her daughter, Millie could not speak. It seems Millie knew everything that was going on but she was just frozen. It was absolutely terrible and this devastated her mother.
Millie’s mother has never seen anything like it in her life and she was shocked. She shared her daughter’s picture in a Facebook post and stated “This is what being spiked looks like please be careful when out.”
The instance apparently took place at a local Southend Nightclub. The Nightclub’s representative said that they urge all customers to be present when their drink is ordered and that they do not leave it unattended. The representative further said that the alleged drink spiked appears to have been accepted from a person known to Millie and at the same time, it was not told to them. The Nightclub is supporting the police who are dealing with the matter.
The police have also responded to the incident and recommended that the best way to protect yourself and your friends from being spiked is to be attentive of what you consume and never take a drink that you haven’t seen being prepared in front of you. Police further suggested that never leave your drink unattended, even for a moment and if it doesn’t taste right, don’t finish it. If you or your friends start to feel weird or unwell then you should get help and seek medical advice straight away. Police said that when you go out for an evening you never know who you’re going to meet, so always keep your wits about you. If someone appears to be over-friendly and eager to get you to drink, be aware.
Millie recollected her frightening nightmare and said that she knew everything that was going on and she was mentally fine but just could not speak up anything and unable to respond physically. She said that it was really scary and had never felt like that.
Millie said that the doctors were really helpful and trying to calm her down. She said that it was such a horrific incident and that she would ever want to go through that again.
Millie’s mother said that she is sharing the incident on social media platforms and it is worth sharing if that save even one girl from this horrible incident.
