Is Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s honeymoon over? Others believe this after learning that the couple had withdrawn out of escrow on their multimillion-dollar dream house just days before closing. Since Ben’s dismal performance at the Grammys earlier this year, many have speculated about their relationship, and it doesn’t seem to be improving.
Ben and Jen have pulled out of escrow on their $34.5 million house, after having second thoughts about the property.
According to sources, the pair planned to close at the beginning of March, but they cancelled only days before.
When they were first seen there, they seemed to be very taken with the house.
Ben, Jen, and a few of their children were pictured playing on the property in the middle of February.
Ben was seen filming Seraphina, Emme, and Max as they went off on skateboards outside the home as Jennifer watched. At the time, it appeared that they’d eventually discovered their forever home, but it now seems that they’re looking for a new location.
Ben and Jen were photographed inspecting another adjacent property only days before walking away from their future home, indicating that they were concerned that the grass was greener on the other side of the fence.
This offers us optimism that the couple’s second thoughts were about the home rather than their love.
According to sources, the newlywed couple has already gone into escrow on another house. They haven’t specified if it was the same property they were sighted at.
If Ben and Jen are prepared to make such a large investment, we may conclude that they are confident in their relationship.
Since their original early-aughts romance, we’ve had a soft spot for Bennifer. And, although we adore their decades-long love story, we can’t help but fear for the couple after hearing all of the allegations regarding their relationship’s durability.
Presumably, the last-minute change with the house was about the construction itself and not about their romantic standing. We’re hoping that Bennifer 2.0 is the genuine thing this time!
