Marc Anthony is commemorating a significant event in his son’s life.
The 54-year-old Vivir Mi Vida singer attended his son Cristian’s college graduation at Parsons School of Design on Thursday. Anthony, 23, walked to the platform and turned around to offer his ecstatic father his diploma in a video shared on his Instagram.
“@cris_muniz_torres “I love my kids to the moon and back,” the musician said in the description of his Instagram post. “And we get to celebrate you today.”
Anthony posted a snapshot of himself, his son Cristian, his son Ryan, 19, and his ex-wife Dayanara Torres beside the video. Anthony softly pinches Cristian’s cheek in one.
The three-time Grammy and Latin Grammy Award winner is expecting his seventh child, his first with wife Nadia Ferreira, 23, whom he married in 2023. In addition to his two boys with ex-wife Dayanara, Anthony has a daughter, Arianna, 28, and a son, Chase, with ex-girlfriend Debbie Rosado, as well as twins, Emme and Maximilian, 15, with ex-wife Jennifer Lopez.
The singer and Ferreira made their first red carpet appearance together since she announced her pregnancy on Valentine’s Day.
Anthony carefully held Ferreira’s baby belly as they walked the red carpet at Univision’s Premio Lo Nuestro Award Show in late February. As the cameras clicked away, the pair grinned and stared into each other’s eyes.
Over the years, Anthony has been open about his parental highs and lows. He told in 2016 that the one disappointment would be that what he chose to do took so much of his time. What he would have given to have been a stay-at-home parent who could have observed everything. That would have been fantastic. That didn’t work out.
He concluded that it’s the one thing that just tugs at him to go, and that’s the biggest sacrifice. And one begins to question whether it was all worth it. Was it worthwhile? On that level, one knows.
