Marriage is a wonderful thing; and divorce is not. Lots of anger may be involved and any children you have could be affected, and if you find yourself in this sticky situation, there’s really only one thing you can… and SHOULD do.
Divorce is a very painful thing. And when you get divorced and have kids, it can be a very bitter thing, with each person feeling a hatred toward the other that can be hard to explain.
Blake found himself in a messy, ugly divorce with his wife, and they had three kids. He hated her. And she hated him. That was a lot of mutual hate. But then, after a short time of shared nastiness toward each other, both of them realized the most important thing that mattered… were their kids. And being at least civil to each other would go an awful long way in proving to be a good example for their children.
But one day, Blake spotted an engagement announcement of his ex-wife on social media, and he shared it on Facebook. And his version of it is going viral.
Because this is what Blake had to say about his ex-wife getting married again: “This is my ex-wife. The mother of my three children. The woman who brought all three of my children into this world. We got married young, had three beautiful children and had a bitter divorce.
“Three years later, that relationship is much different. We share the kids evenly and support them in everything they do. We act as a team. The man she’s with is a great guy. He’s great to my kids and they love him to death. As a father, I couldn’t ask for anything more. I sincerely wish you both the best. I’m thankful for many things, including y’all’s relationship.
To anyone divorced, I encourage you to try and look at this from a different angle. Just because you didn’t work out as husband and wife, doesn’t mean you can’t be Mom and Dad.”
