It’s always heartwarming to watch celebrities help animals in need. They not only provide a nice home for an animal, but they also set a positive example for their followers and draw attention to shelter dogs in need.
And, most recently, a prominent movie actor went over and above, not only rescuing a mistreated puppy but also providing a large reward for details on her abuser.
A kind Samaritan discovered a three-month-old puppy in horrible condition last week: the animal had a metal chain around her neck that was so tight it was buried in her flesh.
Before the witness took her in and brought her to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, the dog was apparently eating rubbish.
The look of the sad puppy broke the Humane Society’s heart, and surgery was required to remove the chain from her neck. She was also dealing with skin problems and growing nails.
They christened the dog “Sage,” and described her as “kind and sociable” although being in “terrible suffering.”
While their physician and vet techs were evaluating Sage on the exam table, Humane Society of Tampa stated on Facebook.
Sage’s tale went viral, shattering hearts all across the world, including one of Hollywood’s toughest dudes, Dave Bautista.
Before becoming a prominent movie actor, Bautista was a WWE professional wrestler. He is most recognized for his role as Drax the Destroyer in the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers films, although he has also appeared in Army of the Dead and the forthcoming Dune.
However, in addition to being a popular actor, Bautista is also a passionate dog lover. After hearing Sage’s tragedy, Bautista decided to utilize his celebrity to help this innocent puppy.
Bautista offered a $5,000 cash prize to the individual who offers details that lead to the capture and punishment of the sick piece of s**t responsible for Sage’s assault in a post to his 3.6 million Instagram followers.
Bautista stated, there’s nothing more precious and pure than a puppy. Anyone who can mistreat a puppy has to be the lowest level of human being, pure wickedness, to torture an animal like that. It sickens him to his stomach.
The incentive for information increased. The Humane Society contributed $1,500 in addition to Bautista’s $5,000 offer. In a subsequent video, Bautista said that Alvarez Injury Law has promised to match his offer, and actor Mickey Rourke has also given $1,000.
Despite the large prize and increasing attention, there have been no clues on the perpetrator, according to Bautista.
Sage, on the other hand, had discovered a lifelong home when he chose to adopt the puppy himself.
Today, the puppy people know as Sage became Penny Bautista, the actor said. Please allow him to introduce all to the newest member of his family. She is now a Bautista and will never be molested in her life again.
The Humane Society of Tampa was overjoyed that the unfortunate canine had found a new home and a new name, putting this tragic story to a joyful conclusion.
They are overjoyed for Sage! they said. She went from eating rubbish in a graveyard while wearing a chain around her neck to embarking on an Incredible new life with Dave and two new Pitty brothers! Dave, thank you for making the decision to adopt.
Bautista made waves in 2019 after rescuing two pit dogs who had been dumped by their owner.
Bautista noted at the time, he needed them, and they needed him. These adorable infants were ignored and mistreated for the first six years of their lives. And now they’re going to be indulged and adored for the rest of their lives.
Bautista currently owns three canines he rescued from cruelty and mistreatment. It comes as no surprise to the actor’s coworkers and co-stars, who claim Bautista is always on the lookout for pets in need.
He truly loves his dog, said actor Kumail Nanjiani, who co-starred with Bautista in the comedy film Stuber.
There were several scenes where they were filming with a dog in a car, and the dog would become warm, and he was just so sensitive to it. They can’t shoot! Dave would say. They need to calm the dog down.
Dave Bautista deserves praise for saving yet another mistreated puppy. Penny has found a loving permanent home and will never be tortured again.
