Dogs destined to be killed are put into trailer – when doors open, new owners can’t believe their eyes.

There are many unwanted dogs in the world, who have either been stray from birth or have been abandoned by their owners. Many of these dogs end up in shelters, but unfortunately, not all of them can be adopted. There isn’t always enough time or money, therefore the dogs are frequently put down. This breaks my heart.

Tracy Whyatt, a dog lover from Texas, feels the same way. She was just weary of hearing about or seeing so many unwanted pets, so she determined to take action. They began travelling throughout Texas to other kill shelters with her husband Scott. They began to rescue underprivileged dogs that were doomed to die by seeking them homes around the nation.

This became their profession from then on, and they founded Tracy’s pets with the goal of rescuing as many unwanted pets as possible. Tracy and Scott have already assisted 3,700 pets in finding owners and homes. Dogs who would have died today if they hadn’t been rescued.

All of this can be seen in the video below. The expressions on these families’ faces when they see their new pets melt our hearts. Here’s one of the Facebook comments on the video:

“I cried for most of this video because I have never seen so many adorable dogs get adopted on the same day.” Most of the dogs seemed to understand that they were finally going home to their forever family and would never have to worry again. I can’t believe these dogs wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for your support. This was the most touching thing I’d seen in a long time.”

Here’s a link to the video. Try not to weep because this is incredibly touching.

Please visit Tracy’s Dogs’ website to learn more about them and how you may adopt a dog of your own.
