I strictly said no kids at my wedding, & my really good friend decided to bring her 2 year old who is a biter! She said that she couldn’t get a sitter and that multiple backed out. She said she would have felt bad to not have showed up to the wedding and really didn’t want to miss it. Her husband recently left her and I feel terrible but her child was crying before my wedding while I was trying to get my makeup and hair done.
I could hear her child crying outside where the photographers were setting up. I decided to call her since I couldn’t get up myself and one of my bridesmaids asked what I was doing and I had explained to her I was calling to see who’s kid was crying. She told me to hang up and to not worry about it and that would be rude and that she would go talk to her. So apparently according to my bridesmaid she said “I went up to her and asked her why she brought her child and she kept saying she was getting picked up by the babysitter in 45 min” so my bridesmaid left to tell me. I felt relieved and understood.
As I was walking down the aisle I noticed a child all squirmy in his chair, I was so mad. (He was making so much noise moving around and kept saying “mom” this and “mom” that) But I had to ignore it, after my husband and I tied the knot. I made my husband come with me to ask her to leave. She gave me a hard time and said I’m an a**h**e for not accepting her situation. Am I A Jerk?
She’s been texting me telling me what a horrible friend I am. PSA she keeps turning all of my friends against me saying the child was quiet and I was just being bridezilla and not understanding. She wants to have lunch and has asked for her clothes back that I absolutely don’t have and think it’s petty because I’m a grown woman and don’t have to borrow clothes anymore. I can’t believe she is acting this way! I hate this and don’t know what to do. So many people are against me.
