Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are now a family of four!
Reed, 35, and Somerhalder, 44, welcomed a baby boy on Thursday, the Twilight star disclosed on her Instagram Story.
A few weeks ago, they welcomed their son on what can only be described as one of the most beautiful days of her life, the new mother of two said.
Born in water and encircled by so much love, her heart doubled in size in an instant.
As one is aware, she has very strict boundaries when it comes to social media, particularly when it comes to kids and what she decides to put out into the world. She desired to share upfront so that she could express her gratitude in advance for respecting those boundaries and spreading optimism, compassion, and LOVE.
Reed then thanked her midwife and physicians for gently guiding this sweet boy into the world.
The actress teased her pregnancy news the day before, posting a shot in which she is partly cut off at the frame, clutching a blanket to her chest. She afterwards posted a shot of a flower field.
She joked that meanwhile, she is here getting pooped and peed on, but let’s pretend for a second that life is glamorous. Of course, to be honest, she wouldn’t have it any other way, she added.
The couple originally revealed their wonderful pregnancy news on their own Instagram profiles in January.
The Vampire Diaries alum shared a snapshot of Reed holding their 5-year-old daughter, Bodhi Soleil, with one hand while cradling her pregnancy with the other in a beautiful outdoor environment.
All he had ever desired since he was a young boy was a big family. Thank you, Nik, for that gift, he wrote. Round Two IS HERE! He thanked her for being this beautiful person, for the gift of life and love, for being the best mom ever, and for working so hard to make dreams come true.
Referencing the photograph, he remarked, he couldn’t believe what he was seeing through that lens as he was shooting this shot. Nothing is more lovely.
All he requests is that everyone send positive energy to Nik and him during this time. They can make the social space odd, but they can also make it fantastic.
