Leandro’s grandfather Robert De Niro responds after his death

Actor Robert De Niro has spoken out after his grandson Leandro was discovered dead at the age of 19.

Drena De Niro, De Niro’s adoptive daughter, has a son with artist Carlos Rodriguez, Leandro De Niro Rodriguez.

Drena revealed Leandro’s death in an Instagram post on Sunday.

“My beautiful, sweet angel,” she wrote in reference to her kid. ”I have loved you beyond words or description from the moment I felt you in my belly. You have been my joy, my heart, and all that was ever pure and real in my life.”

“I wish I was with you right now. I wish I was with you. I don’t know how to live without you, but I’ll try to go on and spread the love and light that you so made me feel in getting to be your mama.

“You were so deeply loved and appreciated, and I wish that love alone could have saved you. I’m so sorry, my baby. I’m so sorry. Rest in peace and eternal paradise, my darling boy.”

Following in the paths of his mom and grandparents, Leandro was an actor who co-starred with his mother in the 2018 film A Star Is Born, playing mother and son Paulette Stone and Leo Stone opposite stars Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.

Leandro has also appeared in Cabaret Maxime (2018) and The Collection (2005) with his mother.

In a statement regarding the passing of his precious grandson Leo, De Niro expressed his extreme sadness. Everyone’s sympathies have been sincerely appreciated. They would appreciate privacy while they mourn the death of Leo.

In the aftermath of Leandro’s death, the family has been inundated with condolences, with Drena replying to one that words aren’t enough to convey the joy he gave them or the loss they now bear with their families and friends. He is now God’s child.

Goodfellas star Debi Mazar is among many who have expressed condolences in the aftermath of Leandro’s death, stating, “I have no words …I’m in shock. I’m so sorry… I love you both so much.”

“Drena heartbroken for you, such a duo, I can’t imagine how you must feel, may the Lord cover you and hold you in his arms, at this very sad time and loss,” Naomi Campbell said. ”I love you, always here for you.”
