As we know that life is full of surprises and there has been plenty of occasions wherein we’re pleasantly surprised by something we thought would never happen. This is what exactly happened when a couple welcomed a set of rare biracial twins and they were stunned. Seven years later, the same thing happened again and the beautiful family made headlines.
Alison Spooner and Dean Durrant look like a normal couple but it turns out their genetic material are certainly unusual. This is evidenced in the miracle that occurred not just one set of twins they had but rather two set of twins.
Alison is white-skinned with blue eyes and red hair and on the other hand, her partner Dean is West Indian in origin. As a result, Dean is obviously much darker, boasting brown hair and eyes. When the couple first learned that Alison is pregnant with twins, they anticipated their babies would take after both of them. However, the parents were met with a surprise when Alison gave birth to Laura and Hayleigh.
One of the twins was white like their mother and the other was black like their father. Their parents revealed that the girls got various comments as they grew up and were often asked to show their IDs as proof of their relations.
Now almost seven years later, Alison found herself pregnant again and surprisingly enough, with another set of twins! This time, Alison was induced at 37 weeks when doctors found that her babies were in the breech position. After delivery, Alison and Dean didn’t get the chance to see them well as directly the babies were rushed to intensive care due to complications with their breathing.
And finally when the couple could finally look upon their new babies, they understood that they had another set of miracle biracial twins. Little Leah has Alison’s white skin and light features, while sister Miya was born with her father’s darker features.
Dean said that he is almost blown away and he has no words to explain his happiness. He said that they both are still in shock and cannot believe that it has happened with them again after almost 7 years.
Leah and Miya are helped by their two older sisters who have been able to guide them through the challenges. Leah and Miya consider their sister as their heroes and wish to be like them when they grow-up. They feel lucky to have each other and they are similar in many ways despite their physical differences.
While they have diverse likes and dislikes but the bond between them is undeniable.
