Last week, a 4-year-old child and his dog were lost in a wooded area behind his home and were rescued by New Jersey State Police.

Trooper Ian Emmi and the boy’s mother ran through the woods after hearing his cries after he strayed away from his house in Buena Vista County, Atlantic Township, on Tuesday night, according to police.

Emmi’s body camera captured the event.

As Emmi dashes towards the boy’s screams, a trooper can be heard saying, ‘she has got him back here’ in the 46-second footage.

‘She has got him, come here, he is fine,’ Emmi replies to the plainly distressed youngster who tells troopers again, ‘he lost his shoe.’ The boy’s Labrador may be seen standing nearby.
