During their meal at a Cracker Barrel in South Carolina, a group of females were in the women’s toilet when a shocking occurrence occurred. According to a 15-year-old girl, she spotted movement at her feet while using the toilet. To her astonishment, 53-year-old Douglas Lane was peeking at her from a next cubicle by peering beneath the divider.
Quickly, the adolescent departed the washroom with several other frightened softball players in town for a competition. The adolescent hurriedly informed her dad, who then signaled a female employee to order Lane out of the restroom. The suspect was a serial voyeur, according to the sexual offender registry.
When Lane’s dad saw her leaving the women’s restroom, he became justifiably enraged. When the father realized that his daughter had been molested by the voyeur, he exploded in rage. Instantaneously, patrons were met with a bleeding guy leaving the eatery for his life.
Lane tried to evade his dad’s blows by making a mad dash for the exit while his face was covered in blood. Obviously, this drew the attention of other guys in the restaurant, the majority of whom are also protective dads. In a matter of seconds, a swarm of fathers surrounded Lane in the parking lot and repeatedly assaulted him until he eventually surrendered.
Douglas Lane attempted urgently to escape the group of men. Yet, numerous fathers swiftly dragged him to the ground and detained him until the police came. The registered sexual offender is seen on video footage sitting despondently on the grass outside of the restaurant as a group of determined guys approach and confront him.
Lane was then arrested and charged with voyeurism, marijuana possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He claims he did not realize he was in the women’s restroom until he sat down and peered beneath the stall. Afterwards, police discovered his mobile phone on the restroom floor and seized it as proof.
In 2008, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation verified Lane’s registration as a sexual offender. In 2004, he was convicted of surreptitiously spying on two 8- and 9-year-old kids. Similarly, he was found guilty of discreetly urinating in another room with an adult victim.
Lane was convicted of voyeurism in 1997 and failed to register as a sexual offender in 1999 in South Carolina. Before the most recent incident, he had been accused of peeping at least eight times.
The majority of dads would concur that Lane escaped with merely a bloodied nose. In reality, if Lane had not attempted to run in the first place, the repercussions of his conduct may have been far more severe.
Regularly entering and leaving the court system, sexual criminals victimize women and children while having every chance for freedom. With eight prior occurrences of suspected voyeurism, it is logical to assume that Lane will not stop just because he has a new sexual violation on his record.
