Teacher Whose Face Burned Off In Campfire Gives Her Husband Permission To Leave Her

Halie Tennant, an Australian teacher, had her life flipped upside down when she miscarried three months after marrying her husband, Matthew.

Halie planned to go camping for one night to try to recuperate from her loss; maybe an evening outside, under the stars, would help. Kenzie, a pal, accompanied her.

Kenzie heard a weird disturbance outside her tent that night, only to discover Halie face-down and comatose in the bonfire she’d started earlier.

Halie had tipped out of her folding chair while dozing by the fire.

Kenzie pulled Halie away from the flames and drenched her with freezing water. Her companion had already been terribly burnt, but she was still alive.

Halie was left with burns all over her face and body after being transported to the ICU. She lapsed into a coma and subsequently underwent a series of procedures over the next several months.

Halie then made a devastating suggestion to her spouse Matthew: “If this is too much, you may go.”

But Matthew was having none of it.

In the video, you’ll meet Halie and learn how she’s developed a new sense of self and she claims she has no qualms about the horrible tragedy that brought her here.
