Tina Turner Shared Way She Wanted To Be Remembered In Final Interview Weeks Before Death.

The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll died on Wednesday (May 24)) at her home in Kusnacht, near Zurich, Switzerland, after six decades of entertaining and motivating the globe.

‘Proud Mary,’ ‘What’s Love Got to Do With It,’ and ‘I Don’t Wanna Fight’ were among her career-defining singles.

Turner took part in a Q&A with The Guardian only six weeks before her death, answering questions about her biggest fear, how she wishes to be remembered, and her celebrity crush.

When asked what her biggest fear is, the eight-time Grammy winner said that she never wishes to go back; she has suffered so much in her life that she wants to keep going forward.

When asked to identify a celebrity crush, Turner said that she has always had a crush on Mick Jagger. She loved him when he toured with the Rolling Stones.

After answering a poignant question about how she wishes to be remembered, the best-selling musician, who has sold over 100 million albums globally, said she wanted to be remembered in a special way.

“As the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll,” the vocalist of ‘River Deep – Mountain High’ said.

After the news of her death was disclosed on Wednesday, tributes poured in for the renowned performer.

Bryan Adams, a Canadian rock artist, paid homage to his buddy Turner, whom he described as an ‘inspiration’ to millions of followers.

He wrote: “RIP @tinaturner My condolences to Erwin and Tina’s family. I’ll be forever grateful for the time we spent together on tour, in the studio and as friends. Thank you for being the inspiration to millions of people around the world for speaking your truth and giving us the gift of your voice. It’s Only Love and that’s all.”

In her Twitter tribute, singer Ciara said that “heaven has gained an angel.”

“Rest in Paradise Tina Turner. Thank you for the inspiration you gave us all,” she said.

Mick Jagger paid homage to his ‘great buddy’ on Instagram, calling her a role model to many.

The 79-year-old rocker posted on Instagram, “I’m so sorry about the passing of my wonderful friend Tina Turner.”

“She was truly an enormously talented performer and singer. She was inspiring, warm, funny, and generous. She helped me so much when I was young, and I will never forget her.”

Meanwhile, Madonna shared a snapshot of the pair from their classic Rolling Stone photoshoot in 1997.

“Thank you Tina Turner!!” the singer captioned her Instagram Story post. You paved the way for so many women! God bless you!!”
