‘True Lies’ Stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Arnold Schwarzenegger Share Exciting Reunion

It’s like it’s 1994 all over again!

True Lies co-stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Arnold Schwarzenegger reunited over the weekend, nearly 30 years after their smash debut. Curtis, 64, even celebrated by posting some adorable images of the couple on her Instagram page.

On Saturday, the Oscar winner and the former California governor, both 76, attended a charity event for the nonprofit After-School All-Stars, which helps low-income youngsters.

“‘Ya, my name is Ingeborg, I’m from Stuttgart.’ I LOVE the way my friends suit up and show up for the causes that move their souls and hearts,” Curtis posted on Instagram. “@schwarzenegger LOVES @afterschoolallstars and I LOVE ARNOLD! THE GOAT! 🐐”

Curtis donned a German dirndl outfit and a flower crown in the photos, while the Terminator star wore a black T-shirt and high socks. The couple also photographed with chef Hans Rockenwagner, who was dressed to the nines and matched the obvious theme.

The charity outing for the lifelong friends came nearly a year after their previous public reunion in October 2022, when Curtis was honored at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood with a hand-and-footprint ceremony.

During the occasion, when the two exchanged a friendly kiss, Schwarzenegger praised Curtis for being the “most extraordinary actress” who could “kick some serious ass,” referring to her performance in True Lies all those years ago.

One can see every good thing they’re saying about Jamie Lee Curtis when they go online, added Schwarzenegger, who played spy Harry Tasker in the film. But there’s usually one thing that really irritates him, and that is when they say that she is a supporting actress in the movie True Lies.

Because she wasn’t there to support—she was the female lead. She was the center of attention. She was starring alongside him, he continued.

Curtis also spoke after getting her award and discussed what it meant to her to have her buddy come out to support her. She stated at the time that she would not be opposed to appearing in another picture with Schwarzenegger.

It inspired her to do another one with him. She approached him and asked, ‘Dude, why aren’t we shooting another movie? I’ll call Jim today,’ she responded, alluding to director James Cameron.

True Lies certainly went on to become a huge success. According to Box Office Mojo, the film made more than $146 million worldwide, including more than $25 million in its opening weekend in 1994. True Lies also received an Oscar nomination for Best Visual Effects and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress.
