When tragedy occurred, little Josiah Toleafoa was on his way to Play City to celebrate his third birthday with other children. A car struck the youngster in the parking lot of Play City, an indoor party facility for children in Chula Vista, San Diego.
According to a witness to the whole terrible experience, Josiah’s mother sobbed uncontrollably as paramedics fought to save the tiny boy’s life. Sadly, Josiah died at Rady Children’s Hospital as a result of his efforts.
According to police, the 36-year-old driver of the car remained at the site and cooperated. According to the authorities, drugs and alcohol do not seem to have played a role in the collision.
Family members resorted to social media to create a GoFundMe campaign to help fund Joseph’s funeral costs. They described the small child as caring and charming. JOSIAH brought the family together with his amazing smile and loving heart, which simply brought joy to any room. There was no time to marvel at his feats. She believes he would have made a difference in the world, wrote the boy’s aunt, Tatiana Toleafoa.
She explained that they’re doing this GoFundMe to help with her sweet nephew’s funeral expenses and services for the little angel who touched so many lives in so many different ways before he was called to heaven. Any amount would be much appreciated. They are very grateful to have loving family and friends to support them through this terrible loss, and they want to be able to lay him to rest so that they may say goodbye and never forget the young child who loved with such a big heart.
The owner of Play City acknowledged that he would provide $2,000 to the Josiah family and that the landlord would match his contribution.
Although the matter is being examined, no arrests have been made in connection with the tragedy as of yet.
