Turner died on Wednesday (May 24) at her home in Zurich, Switzerland, after a long music career that earned her followers all over the world.
Turner’s representatives said the world had lost a “music legend and a role model” with her death, which they claimed happened after a “long illness.”
The specific condition was not disclosed at the time, but the spokesman has subsequently verified that she died of natural causes.
Following her passing, tributes poured in for Turner, with some of the world’s top musicians among those applauding her abilities.
“She was truly an enormously talented performer and singer,” observed Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones. “She was inspiring, warm, funny, and generous. She helped me so much when I was young, and I will never forget her.”

Turner was also commemorated in a post by Elton John, who said, “We have lost one of the world’s most exciting and electric performers. A total legend on record and on stage She was untouchable. Condolences to Erwin and her family. The saddest news.”
Turner was responsible for delivering great songs like ‘The Best,’ ‘Proud Mary,’ ‘Private Dancer,’ and ‘What’s Love Got to Do With It’ to the globe.
