Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky parted ways after 27 years of marriage.
Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof, according to a source close to the couple. They are still friendly while they work out what is next for them and their family.
In 1994, Richards, 54, met Umansky, 53, in a nightclub. Richards was divorcing her first husband, Guraish Aldjufrie, with whom she had a daughter, Farrah Brittany (née Aldjufrie), at the time.
After becoming engaged later that year, the couple married in January 1996 and had three children: Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15.
When The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills began on Bravo in 2010, their family was finally revealed to the world. Richards was a regular on the reality program for the previous 12 seasons, and the couple regularly emphasized to audiences that they were seeing their true relationship play out on the show.
With or without cameras, they’re the same. They’re just super genuine, and they understand each other, and they’re genuine, Umansky told in March 2013. They don’t have anything to conceal. That’s something they discussed—the skeletons in the closet, and they’re capable of dealing with their darkest skeletons.
He has always just been 100 percent supportive of her, regardless of what she does, the real estate broker stated in November 2022. He is all in if she wishes to reconcile with her sister, Kathy Hilton. If she isn’t ready to reconcile and needs to keep it going for a while, he will completely back her.
Richards and Umansky seemed happier than ever as they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in January 2021.
Richards expressed that year that it means so much to both of them, and it’s something they’re both extremely proud of. And it’s one of his proudest achievements. He means he believes it’s nice because, in this place, being married for 25 years is a huge thing [laughs]. They’re also quite happy to be excellent role models for their girls.
This means a lot, Umansky continued. To be truthful, it’s seems simple, and it doesn’t feel like it’s been that long. So far, it’s been wonderful and lovely. He plans to spend the rest of his life with her. So ideally, it will be at least another 25 years, if not 50.
The divorce announcement comes only days after Mauricio denied speculations that his marriage was in trouble when his wife was pictured without her wedding band.
They’re not getting divorced, Umansky said in early April. It’s just stupid. That one ridiculous tale got out there, and then all the females chose to speak about it on the Housewives, and now it’s a plot.
Umansky also informed the hosts that fans will witness him and Richards personally address the claims in the forthcoming season of RHOBH.
Season 13 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which just concluded production, has no definite return date. Seasons 1–12 are available to watch in their entirety on Peacock.
