On Monday, the pregnant tennis player, 41, flaunted her burgeoning baby belly while on holiday in Italy, uploading two Instagram photographs of herself wearing a body-con, sleeveless black dress and pink heels.
“CAUTION: Things are not always as they appear,” she remarked in the caption of her Instagram post. “I am seriously trying to figure out if the baby is in the front or….back….slide right #summer #italy #vacation.”
Williams was facing the camera in the first photograph. In the second shot, she turned with her side to the camera, one hand beneath her baby bulge to accentuate it.
Williams and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, have a 5-year-old daughter, Olympia.
Just days after announcing that she and Ohanian were expecting their second child at the 2023 Met Gala, the tennis great shared a touching video on Instagram of them sitting down with the 5-year-old to deliver the happy news.
Olympia doesn’t know she is pregnant right now, so the big reveal will be at the Met, and then she’ll tell Olympia before they leave, as Williams stated in the video.
The only reason she hasn’t told her is because she can’t keep a secret, the athlete said.
The tape, which also included behind-the-scenes footage of Williams preparing for the Met Gala, ended before she could give her child the news. “Stay tuned. “Subscribe link in bio,” Williams captioned the video, hinting that more of the memorable moment would be broadcast on YouTube.
The video’s footage was filmed just before Williams and her Reddit co-founder husband disclosed their pregnancy to the public.
Williams uploaded a carousel of photographs of herself and Ohanian on Instagram before walking the Met Gala red carpet, where her baby bulge could be seen under her gown.
The athlete captioned the images stating that was thrilled when Anna Wintour invited the three of them to the Met Gala.
