My ‘Babies Have Been Shot!’: Three Young Brothers Killed by Their Father in Ohio; Mother Also Injured

Authorities say an Ohio dad is facing murder charges after reportedly lining up his three young boys — ages 7, 4, and 3 — and killing them execution-style.

One of the lads attempted to escape, but Chad Doerman reportedly told cops he “hunted him down” and shot him.

A lady contacted 911 at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, shouting that her “babies had been shot,” according to a release from the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office.

A vehicle in the neighborhood contacted 911 three minutes later to report that a small girl was fleeing down the road, shouting that “her father was killing everybody,” according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a property in Monroe Township’s 1900 block of Laurel Lindale Rd. and discovered Doerman, 32, seated on the stairs with a gun next to him.

“Wake up! According to bodycam video, a deputy screamed to him, “Stand up!” before hauling him off the stairs and shoving him to the ground, where he handcuffed him.

The deputy allegedly questioned Doerman about what was going on as wails could be heard in the background, and Doerman calmly answered, “Nothing.”

Soon later, authorities discovered three shot youngsters sprawled in the yard, unconscious.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, they performed CPR, but the youngsters died at the site.

Prosecutors claimed during Doerman’s hearing on Friday that the children’s mother, 34, who has not been publicly named, was wounded in the hand while attempting to shield her sons from the gunfire.

She was transferred to the nearest hospital with non-life threatening wounds. Deputies visited her in the hospital to inform her that her boys had been killed. Doerman was detained and transported to the sheriff’s office for interrogation without incident.

He was charged with three counts of aggravated murder after that. He was transported to the Clermont County Jail and is being detained on a $20 million bail.

According to a video, Doerman reportedly admitted to murdering the boys, according to David Gast, chief of the Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office Criminal Division.

According to court records, he reportedly plotted the shootings for many months.

This did not occur on a whim, Gast said in court.

The trauma that this man has brought on his family, the community, law enforcement, first responders, and all the rest of humanity who have any idea what is going on here is unspeakable, Gast said.

Doerman cried as he listened to Gast throughout the arraignment, while being guarded by cops and wearing a safety vest.

Gast told the court that “there has been full admission in this case” and that authorities are currently looking into it.

But the horrible agony of what one understands is impossible to process, he says. In an act of just unfathomable brutality, the father lined up his three young boys and killed them in his own home with a rifle.

In an act of desperation, the mother at a certain point grabbed the gun that the father was holding in an effort to protect them, he continued.

According to Gast, one of the youngsters was able to escape and run into a nearby field.

According to Gast, the father hunted that boy down, drugged him back to the property, and killed him in front of witnesses.

In requesting the $20 million bail, Gast told the court that these boys looked to their dad for protection, love, and guidance from the man they trust more than any other person on earth.

There were no traces of forced entry into the residence, according to police, and no additional suspects are being sought.

He was their whole universe. Their guardian, Gast, said. And then he murdered them in cold blood.

Keith Doerman, Doerman’s father, said that his son “just snapped.”

There was something going on in his life that he couldn’t handle any longer, Keith stated. He can’t talk to his son because they won’t let him, so he doesn’t have any answers. His son most likely kept a lot of information from him.

On June 11, Doerman shared photos of himself on social media with his three boys, all of whom were smiling and giving thumbs up.

“Nice crew there,” one user said.

Gloria Doerman said, “Grandma loves this picture.”

A GoFundMe page has been established to assist with funeral costs.

Her sister lost her three precious babies yesterday, Rachel Brown, the GoFundMe organizer, wrote. Nothing will ever make this right; it will never be normal. However, if one can find it in one’s heart to assist in alleviating the financial burden of this tragedy, please give. This should not have happened to anyone.
