Woman Kidnapped and Left with Brain Injury Utters First Word in Three-Year Silence

Angel Lynn, 22, was discovered on the A6 near Loughborough in September 2020 and is now in need of 24-hour care.

After seizing her off the street and forcing her into a silver transit vehicle being driven by his accomplice Rocco Sansome, her ex-boyfriend Chay Bowskill is now serving a 12-year prison sentence for kidnapping, coercive and controlling behavior, and perverting the course of justice.

While the van was being driven at almost 60 mph, Angel tumbled out of the vehicle head-first into the pavement.

The parents of Angel disclose that their daughter has spoken for the first time in three years in the video below:

On September 11, Nikki Lynn, Angel’s mother, said on Good Morning Britain that she thought her daughter might “never speak again.”

The mother, who was seated next to her husband, Paddy, said that she just stepped in and was moaning.

She told her daughter Angel that if she was making those kinds of noises, she must be able to say something.

She simply began making sounds at that point, and her daughter just blurted it out.

‘Mum’ was her first word in three years.

She had no advance notice that her daughter would be speaking. She never anticipated hearing from her again. One generally doesn’t want to get one’s hopes up for anything, Nikki continued.

The Kidnap of Angel Lynn, a recent Channel 4 program that detailed the horrible occurrence, showed Nikki opening up about seeing her daughter for the first time in the critical care unit.

She recalled that she simply collapsed on the floor as they opened the curtain to allow me in.

Consultant neurosurgeon Stuart Smith at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham said that her wound was so horrible and so serious that there was a very real chance that Angel wouldn’t survive.

They are simply heartbroken that they didn’t spot it, the mother said. Because if they had discovered it sooner, they wouldn’t be here now.

Anyone can experience it. It makes no difference how powerful one is. Both men and women are susceptible.

They’ve had to do this since this is how they tell other individuals about being coerced and how simple it is, even if one is strong-minded, that it can occur to one and to just get out of it. She wouldn’t want anyone else to go through what they’ve been through.

A GoFundMe page has been created by Angel’s cousin to aid with her rehabilitation.
