Kourtney Kardashian is expecting a child!
The Kardashians star, 44, announced her pregnancy with husband Travis Barker, 47, on Friday with a homemade placard held up at her husband’s Blink-182 performance in Los Angeles.
The couple announced the news the same evening when they both shared a video of the occasion to Instagram. In the video, a black-clad Kardashian laughed and hopped up and down in the audience at Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium while holding a placard that said, “Travis, I’m pregnant!”
The adorable video continues with Barker on stage seeming astonished as one of his Blink-182 teammates is heard stating, “Someone’s having a baby!” The astonished drummer then entered the crowd to hug his wife.
The reality star revealed further information about the event on her Instagram Story. One picture featured her longtime pal Simon Huck’s perspective as he documented the moment Barker joined Kardashian in the crowd following the news.
A subsequent post revealed the source of her sign’s inspiration: the music video for Blink-182’s 1999 single All The Small Things. In one point of the video, a fan can be seen carrying a banner that says, “Travis, I’m pregnant.”
She then posted a behind-the-scenes shot of the half-written sign being created. The words “Travis” and “Pregnant” are written on a huge piece of paper, with what looks to be Kardashian sitting in front of it.
Kardashian and Barker have a total of six kids between them. Kourtney has two children with ex Scott Disick: Reign Aston, 8, and Mason Dash, 13, as well as Penelope Scotland, 10. Meanwhile, Barker and ex-wife Shanna Moakler have three children: son Landon, 19, daughter Alabama, 17, and stepdaughter Atiana, 24.
After years of friendship, the pair began dating in 2021 and swiftly took their romance to the next level by getting engaged in October of the same year. Kardashian shared a few photographs from Barker’s beautiful seaside proposal with the message, “forever @travisbarker.”
The pair held an expensive wedding ceremony in Italy on May 22, 2022, after having a Las Vegas wedding without an official marriage license in April 2022 and becoming officially married in Santa Barbara.
The couple exchanged vows in front of red flowers and loved ones, including their six kids: Kourtney’s boys Mason and Reign, as well as daughter Penelope, and Travis’ son Landon, daughter Alabama, and stepdaughter Atiana.
The wonderful news of their pregnancy comes after the pair recently revealed that they had discontinued IVF therapy but planned to have a child together.
They are officially done with IVF [in vitro fertilization], Kourtney said on The Kardashians in May. They would give anything for a baby, but she has faith in what God has in store for them. If that’s a baby, she thinks it’ll happen.
