To save money, a man unwraps his bananas before weighing them.

Work smarter, not harder, people!

A guy has been seen embracing the ‘work smarter, not harder’ philosophy.

His partner shared a TikTok video of him painstakingly unwrapping each solitary banana before weighing them to save money.

Who knows where those fruits would wind up on the way home from the grocery store, but who are we to judge?

While the skin does not provide Fort Knox-level security against the outside world, it does provide some safety for each banana.

As a result, the risk-return ratio for this exploit is arguable.

But it appears that many were split on the notion when the TikTok video went viral.

It’s been seen over 800,000 times, and certain individuals have advised the lady to end her relationship with the guy.

Others, though, believe that because of his thriftiness, he will save more money than the rest of us.

Users also wondered if this was permitted in the store.

“Is that even legal?” one individual said. Simply stealing the banana will allow you to save more.”

“Nah, that’s got to be illegal,” said another.

Some even advised that he weigh the banana without using a plastic bag to save even more money.

But if bananas are regarded similarly to broccoli, you may want to refrain from repeating this trick.

After a customer went viral on social media for chopping off their broccoli stem to save money, an Australian supermarket was forced to release a statement.

Broccoli hit an all-time high of $11.90 (USD $8.18 or £6.75) per kilo in June of last year, so it’s no wonder that individuals were cutting off the part of the vegetable they didn’t want to eat.

Not shortly after the video went viral, a notice in a grocery store said, “ATT customers. You must not break the stems of the broccoli.

“This is classed as theft. All broccoli purchases will be checked at the registers. Thanks, Management.”

The notice also said that every bag of broccoli would be inspected at the counter before being purchased.

Following complaints of customers tampering with the green vegetable, Jenn Shaw, a TikTok user, uploaded a video showing how to utilize all portions of broccoli.

In the video, she buys rejected stems from a shop and cuts them into little parts for a salad or stir fry.

Many people commended Shaw for not wasting the vegetable and said that they would do the same the next time they purchased it.
